Kit: 1/72 scale Italeri Westland Wessex HU-5 (No 082)
Paint: Testors enamels, Future polish, Alclad Matt Coat.
Decals: Kit supplied ( some details added from other decal sheets)
As a young Air Cadet in 1429 Squadron ATC (Cardigan & Aberporth, 3 Welsh Wing) I had my first ever helicopter flight in Wessex XS 677 (WK) and snapped this picture in 1986 or 1987. Years later my Dad saw the image and told me that he had worked on that very aircraft while stationed at RAF Odiham. Ever since, it has been a special picture and was added to the list of models to be built.
